  • "No way, no how, no McCain"!

Posted at August 26, 2008 11:49 PM in response to What Hillary Needs To Do Tonight

  • "Tearing the bark off John McCain" is the exact approach that is required. Democrats can talk about and practice reaching across the isle and bipartisanship AFTER we win the presidency and 60 votes in the Senate. Until that day, democrats need to slice the gop, all the appeasers, enablers, and supporters of the fascist policies of the bush government, and John McCain to pieces with the terrible swift sword of truth. America has been redefined and radically weakened after 8 years of bushgovernment gop tyranny, rape of the constitution, and wanton profiteering, and McCain will perpetuate the exact same pernicious policies of the fascists in the Bush government. A vote for McCain is Bush/Cheney 3, and the certain end of the America we were all born into. Every democrat might not like Obama personally, or aggree with all of his policies, and there may be some who question is readiness, - but the alternative is four more years of the gop robbing from poor and middle class Americans to feed the superrich, environmental irresponsibility, monsterous irredeamable debt and deficits, further erosion of America's credibility and influence globally, and oceans of blood and treasure wasted on wars of choice that benefit the predator class exclusively. McCain is a vote for the fascists and the certain end of our once more perfect union.

  • After seven year of the fascists in the Bush government robbing from poor and middle class American to feed the superrich and the fiends, criminals, and wanton profiteers in the predator class, there is no hope for job security, or decent wages, or employment opportunities. The predator class will gleefully hire illegal aliens to work as carpenters or masons, or job off all our tech service jobs to India or China, and leave Americans wanting and un or underemployed, while funnelling billions of dollars into off shore bank accounts to avoid tax liability, and engorging their own personal wealth.

The issue is not extending unemployment benefits, although that policy would be welcomed by the millions of Americans cast overboard by the fascists in the Bush government and their minions in the predator class, - but providing decent employment opportunities at livable wages to hard working Americans.

What exactly are American workers expected to "tranistion" to chemjeff? McDonalds? Burger King? Baby sitting? Lawn mowing? What jobs can Americans hope to possibly transition to, and at what wages, and with what security?

American labor is dead. There is no bargaining power, there are no decent jobs, and there is no hope until and unless the American people defang and dethrone the fascists in the Bush government and the rank appeaser and Bush government excuser and defender McCain who systemically rob from poor and middle class Americans to feed the superrich and the fiends, criminals, and wanton profiteers in the predator class.

  • Justice under the fascist tyranny of the Bush government is "just us". The unholy gospel according to the fascists in the Bush government dictates that the fascists in the Bush government make the law, are the law, can change the law whenever and where ever it suits their ends, and are themselves above, beyond, outside, and in total disdain of the any law including their own. Further any challenge to the law or the Bush government dictates is automatically dismissed, or slimed as antiamerikan - and any voice challenging or questioning the dictates of the Bush government can according to the unholy gospel of the fascists in the Bush government be at best dismissed, or replaced, or black listed, and at worst labelled an enemy combatant and disappeared to Gitmo or some blackworld torture dungeon.

A reading from the gospel according to the facists in the Bush government - Amen.

  • The answer to your query William Hartung, is the fascists in the Bush government. The fascist in the Bush government have erected a shadow government in the form of Private Military, Private Intelligence, and Private PR industrial complexes contracted to perform tasks formally the exclusive purview of America's uniformed military and intelligence operators. These contract are openedended, nobid, cost plus multihundred or even billion dollar entanglements, and virtually all (almost every single contractor) has deep tentacles to, or is intepenetrated with the fascists in the Bush government who (surprise surprise) issue the contracts in the cloak of night, behind the peoples back with no accounting, review, recourse of accountability, or remedy for abuse or malfeasance.

This shadow government (concocted by the fascists in the Bush government) is so deeply entrenched in America's current warfighting and intelligence gathering enterprises, that it is impossible to swiftly remedy this evil and the wanton profiteering without seriously compromising America's military and intelligence gathering missions.

The majority of these companies enjoy tax exemptions, or actually set up shell companies in the foriegn lands (Cayman Islands, Bermuda, Isle of Man, et al) specifically to dodge tax burdens and the American legal system.

The fascists in the Bush government are profiteering wantonly in and from the deceptive, perfidious process of the socalled neverendingwaronterror.

These contractor operate with Bush government conjured immunity, above, beyond, outside and in total disdain for the rule of law and the Constitution, and are loyal to those individuals, cabals, klans, and oligarchs that award and pay the contracts - and not to the American people.

Congress does not regulate, monitor, review, or hold any power over these contractors and this shadow government erected by the fascists in the Bush government. These contractors are responsible for funnelling billions of the people dollars into the off shore accounts of the fascists in the Bush government, FAILING to meet their contractual obligations, and in some cases, (inGitmo Abu Ghraib, Bhagram by CACI, Titan specifically) grotesque perversions, betrayal, faudulance, and criminal activity.

The PearlHarborlikeevent of 9/11 enabled, and provided the justification for the fascists in the Bush government to undertake the Iraq war, and the socalled neverendingwaronterror, and to profiteer wantonly in and from the nefarious processes.

The pentagon, the military, the traditional intelligence appartus, and the private military, private intelligence industrial complexes no work for the American people, - but are in fact a shadow government loyal and beholden to the fascists in the Bush government exclusively.

The ultimate ends in Iraq and the socalled neverendingwaronterror have nothing to do with defending America, or spreading democracy, or combatting evildoers. The ends are singularly and exclusively bent on funnelling billions of the peoples dollars into the off shore accounts of fascists in the Bush government.

  • The socalled conservative platform on its' face has a certain attactiveness. Family values, Christianity, fiscal responsibility, muscular foriegn policy, free market economics, rewarding hard working Americans, keeping the government in check and out of the peoples and industries lives.

The problem is - (and this is the core issue I am focused on shining a searing hot lights on) is that none of these noble supposedly "attactive ideas" have any thing to do with the actual practical applications or the actual conduct of the conservative movement. Family values like closet biggotry and blaming gays for hurricane Katrina? Christianity in the form of biggoted racist intolerance? Rewarding hard workiing Americans by spying on them without due process or any legal justification, and granting them $600.00 tax rebates while increasing their core cost of living outlays by many thousands of dollars a year? Muscular foriegn policy in attacking, occupying and profiteering wantonly from wars against nations without provocation or legal justification? Muscular foreign policy in conducting lawless abuses like sanctioning torture as state policy, and turning the entire world against America? Free markets owned and manipulated by well connected oligarchs practicing malfeasance and in bed with the partisan leadership and then being baled out, or rescued by said partisan leadership when the invevitible bubble bursts? Keeping the government out of the peoples lives by targeting American citizens on watch lists and Core threat programs, and majikally granting abusive, malfeasant or criminal industries immunity?

The conservative movement proselytizes these grand noble ends on TV, but ruthlesslyt betrays each and every single promise and policy in actual practical application and practice. I won't waste time detailing all the patently false proclamations of the socalled conservative movement unless requested, and I think it should be quite obvious that the socalled conservative movement has betrayed it's own platform, - but the larger point is that the conservative movement is based upon hollow promises, supremist policies and ideologies, robbing from poor and middle class Americans to feed the superrich and the predator class and the relentless regurgitation of propaganda, disinformation, slime, and patent lies.

If conservatives actually do the kind of self examination you are hoisting on liberals then conservatives will be forced to confront their own "demonic" and forked tongued ideologies, policies, and practices.

And in answer to Dan K's query - respect for, accountability to, and honoring of the rule of law and the Constitution first and foremost would provide the foundation of the our liberal vision.

Tolerance for all ideologies, idea's, voices, cultures, races, genders, lifestyles, and economic strata.

Some kind of equanimity in the basic structure of economics.

    Forceful federal regulation of industries?

Powerful enforcement policies and punishments for abusive, malfeasant, or criminal activities of industry and industry leadership.

A restoration of the Bill of Rights, and government commitment to protecting, honoring, and defending the PEOPLES rights, freedom, protections, and privileges.

Government accountability and a forceful mechanism within the government allowing and affording the people the right to "... petition the government for redress of grievances."

A government focus and mandate on peaceful resolutions to America's conflicts, and an aversion to rabid wild lust for war and warmaking.

A government focus on green technologies and environmental and ecological responsibility.

A government focus on, and commitment to applying America's hypersuperior military forces to actual threats and a nationwide repudiation of wars of choice, or occupations, colonization, or marauding of any other nations resourses for the benefit of industrial oligarchs.

A government repudiation and swift end to the privatization of military and intelligence operations that were formally the purview of the government alone.

A government focus on fiscal responsibility, directed toward reducing debt and deficits.

A government focus on rewarding industries for development of green technologies, and non-oilbased energy sources.

I could go on, but - these are the principle and practices that would define a liberal government in 2058.

Until that time, - "Deliver us from evil!"

  • The current infatuation with liberal self-examination blurrs the realities, and ignores the false proclamations, duplicitous practices, and supremist machinations of the conservative movement. The conservative movement is better defined in terms of two converging interpenetrating, and brutally obvious metrics. The rapidly increasing structural divide between thehaves (conservatives) and thehavenots (liberals), - and the intentional mangling or deconstructing of language by conservatives and their message-force multipliers and complicit parrots in the socalled MSM.

Is it radical or Marxist to strike firm positions defending civil rights, womans rights, labor rights, gay rights, environmental and ecological responsibility, economic equality, accountability from the government, or to protest against, dissent with, or oppose costly bloody wars and wanton profiteering. If so, then I proudly claim the marking radical and liberal. But none these scurrilous aspersions framed and repeatedly relentlessly by the propaganda and disinformation covens of the conservative movement and their obedient, exceedingly well funded and connected "message-force multipliers, and parrots in the MSM are true. These proclamations and aspersions on the liberal movement, and all things liberal are PATENT LIES. There is no substance or veracity to any of these scurrilous accusations and aspersions.

The great failure if liberalism is not in our idea's or methods which are sound and rooted in the basis of democracy - but in allowing theright and the conservative movement to frame theleft and the liberal movement uncontested in the most negative terms. Liberals today are anti-American, Marxist, lunatics, and spawns of the devil.

Worse the conservative movement is based on duplicitious policies, supremist ideologies and patent lies. Fiscal conservatism? This is the largest most porcine most debt and deficit ridden government in the history of America. Christian values? America attacked Iraq without provocation or legal justification, based on conservative conjure hype, exaggerations, and patent lies, slaughtered hundreds of thousands of Iraq's innocent civilians attempted to maraud Iraq's resources, erected a puppet governmnent beholden to the conservative government commandeering the WH. The socalled evangelical christians who commandeered the conservative movement are not Christians. They are not followers of Jeshua ben Joseph whose teachings are completely anathema to the fundamentalist intolerance biggotry, hatreds, dominionist pipedreams, and greedmongering bruted by the evangelical high priests.

Privatization is a conservative code word for robbing from poor and middle class Americans to feed the superrich.

Intelligent design according to conservatives is godz truth and science is false.

Tyranny is shapeshifted by conservatives into democratization.

Security is the conservatives excuse for dismembering and reengineering the constition.

Patriotism is the conservatives cloak for commandeering kings rights and one party rule, and for sliming our fellow Americans who challenge, dissent with or oppose these conservatives machinations.

Conservatives need to the self examination. I am proud of the liberal legacy. What can any conservative hold as a positive contribution to America, outide hollow unrealised promises, visionary unattainable pipedreams, and patent lies.

Liberals are human being and like all human beings we make mistakes and are far from perfect, - but conservatives are responsible for oceans of innocent blood, wanton profiteering, grotesque disrespect for the rule of law and the Constitution, and a festering swamp of patent lies.

  • A thousand thanks featherfamily. It is not my intention to present doom and gloom as the ultimate and only end, - though I appreciate how it could appear that way, - rather the intent is to shine lights on the doom and gloom scenarios that are highly probable unless Americans and the world begins the arduous work of righting these wrongs and providing remedies to the several crisis facing America and the world.

In another article in the Telegraph http://www.telegraph.co.uk/money/main.jhtml?xml=/money/2008/05/26/cnsoros126.xml

directed mainly at Britians, George Soros warns of a pending "oil bubble" and further that "Speculators are largely responsible for driving crude prices to their peaks in recent weeks and the record oil price now looks like a bubble."

The two most critical issues are - first recognizing that a rather significant "adjustment" in the American economy IS inevitable, and secondly that - failure to intelligently and fairly manage said "adjustment" could prove catastrophic.

We will all be forced to make sacrifices and alter many activities and lifestyles in our socalled societies, but those sacrifices and alterations must be shared equally by the oil and energy oligarchs, the financial oligarchs and speculators, the government, industry in general, and the people. Heaping all these costs and burdens on the people alone, and failing to redress the structural problems of the system, will cripple the economy and usher in the doom and gloom scenarios warned about above.

  • You are dreaming workerbea, and stuck in the oldworld construct of American supremacy and socalled exceptionalism. The US consumer economy is the driver for the world economy, and so the math is determined by other nations dependence on American purchasing power. The sad reality is that there are new emerging economies that dwarf America and will adopt 21stcentury practices. America is locked in the oldworld. While there will not be any swift or radical realignment or redistribution of wealth to other nations, - the writing is on the wall, and methodically, and intelligently the rest of the world is moving away from America as the gold standard and the most safe and reliable hedge. Our days or economic dominance are over. We are 5 trillion dollars in debt. Our deficit spending is unsustainable. We are the most polluting, most toxic, least healthy nation in the first world. We create more than half of the earths total waste. We are fighting three bloody, costly, noendinsight wars virtually alone and can claim victory in no arena. The astronomical divide between thehaves and thehavenots is America is increasing wildly. We are loathed through out the world, and with good reason. We are a lawless, marauding, predatory, ruthless, perverted, murdering nation of wanton profiteers and supremists. The rest of the world is methodically realigning to counter American hegemony and the day will soon be upon us, when the entire world spurns America and the dollar, because we are a failed nation that gave are government over to fascist warmongers, profiteers, and pathological liars.

The Euro is the nextbestthing, no matter what naysayers, faux patriots, fundamentalists economic pundits, and wingnuts brute.

The American empire is toast. Our only hope for restoring any sense of balance or credibility to the American system is placing IMPEACHMENT firmly on the table, and holding pathological liars accountable for pathological lying, abusers accountable for abuses, criminals accountable for crimes, and profiteers accountable for wanton profiteering. Fail in this daunting endeavor, - and the America we were all born into is doomed.

  • Green technologies are the future, no matter what naysayers and flatearth types brute. While humanities demise may not be imminent, if we continue on the current vectors, - it will be unavoidable.

No one is saying there will be an instant transition to some new unknown unknown technology, - there are huge political and economic obstacles to surmount, and an entire infrastructure to design and build, but investment in, and focus on clean, more effecient green technologies is imperative. First diminshing demand on oil will alleviate stress on the oil markets over time, theoretically push prices downward, and contribute to the development of new non-fossil fuel based technologies.

That said, the Bubbles-r-us economy of the US is teetering on the brink of collapse. The cause is the focus on irredeemable debt, wherein various inventive highly complex synthetic debt instraments, or collateralized debt products are used as the primary means of capitalization. This debt financing debt ponzi scheme worked fine when America was productive, prosperous, and relatively fiscally responsible. Those days are gone, - now the debts are coming due, and the entire global system is coming to the realization that America debt based economy is a house of cards. Soros has a number of intriguing theories along these lines.

What is most striking is Mr. Soros assertion that the underlying system of capitalism is deeply flawed, and totally dependent on the state, or governing authorities to "bale out" failing, and often borderline criminal malfactors to support the underying system. This cycle of financial malfeasance creating markets capitalized by debt instruments leads to "self reinforcing, eventually unsustainable boom bust cycles." In every bubble situation (S&L, Junk Bonk, Housing, Credit, the impending Credit Default Swap crisis) as debacles devolved to crisis - the government steps in, and redirects, and funnels billions of the peoples dollars to bale out, rescue or stabilize the malfactor industries responsible for the crisis, the socalled markets, and the irredeemable debt system. No one is held accountable. No regulations are tolerated. Nothing changes except the invention of the next synthetic instrument that will cause the next boom, bust, bubble cycle.

What Soros also makes clear is that there are no free markets, and there is no equilibrium in the markets.

What I term the predator class can invent or conjure any sort of financial fantasmagoria, or "synthetic instruments" (CBO's, CBS's, Credit Default Swaps, or other derivative congjurings) based on the complex buying and selling of complex debt intraments. As Soros clearly points out, this system is a total failure, as proven by the fact that derivative instruments the applicable ratings institutions formally rated as AAA, ar now reduced to "junk", as in actual ratings terminology based on return on investment as "junk". Golden one day, dross the next.

The market fundamentalist (those who proselytize the selling of synthetic debt as a means capitalization) depend on "imperfect understanding of the markets to cloak problems - and are in bed with the authorities, or the government, or the state who are forever pillaging the peoples dollars to bailout abusers, decievers, and malfactors in the finance sector.

Recently the Fed has funnelled more than half a trillion dollars of borrowed money into the financial sector since December to inject capital and stabilize the credit crisis and housing crisis concocted, promoted, sold mismanaged, and ignored by the same financial sector.

This robbing from poor and middle class Americans to feed the superrich, or what I call the "predator class" malfeasance was motivated by purely political ends, intended to cloak the Bush government's responsibility and accountability for complicity in perpetuating both the Housing and Credit, and soon to show it's ugly head Credit Default Swarp crisis, - for the failure to recognize, thwart, or warn of these crises, - and for heaping the crushing costs, debts, and flawed system onto the next leadership and the shoulders of our children.

The markets may (may?) have stabilized, and the worst of the crisis may - (and that is itself a big 'may') be behind us, - but the underlying flaws and the terrible crushing unsustainable debt remains unchanged and matasticizing.

This article touches on the same issues and makes a good case for the brutal end of days of "irredeemable debt".
